LITE Initiatives is the umbrella group for Car-Lite, Community Bikes and Zero Waste Sonoma County. We are heading the Transportation working group.

LITE is an environmental educational non-profit. Our mission is to encourage and empower people to live lightly on the Earth. Community Bikes provides practical assistance in doing that.

We have irregularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Directors. It is by invitation only.

The Car-lite group that has been active in Sebastopol for some time has emerged as as an official working group dealing with transportation issues for Transition Sebastopol. 

The aim of Car Lite is to support individuals and groups to decrease the amount they drive and support alternatives, particularly cycling!
