A Wisdom Council Discussion Group of Transition Sebastopol 

Calling All Elders, Earth Elders, Wannabe Elders, Soon-to-become Elders, or Interested Baby Boomers on up! 


The Elder Salon is a nonhierarchical circle of peers. We’ll introduce the discussion with some thoughts from an elder voice or thought-provoking instigator to kick off our own discovery of what it is WE think and believe about the topic; what WE want and need now and in our future; what WE think should be the course of action and attitudes as we progress into and through our older years

WHY: There are a lot of new ideas about aging, staying youthful in body and spirit, and our role in society and local life. What have our generational contributions been and what is left undone? What are our mistakes and triumphs?

The Elder Salon is a nonhierarchical circle of peers. We’ll introduce the discussion with some thoughts from an elder voice or thought-provoking instigator to kick off our own discovery of what it is WE think and believe about the topic; what WE want and need now and in our future; what WE think should be the course of action and attitudes as we progress into and through our older years

Reminder to all: the Elders Salon is regular and ongoing on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Meditation is a resource for inner strength and resilience to enable us to respond wisely to challenges in our lives, including those facing us in the era of peak oil, climate change, and energy descent. This meditation evening creates space for shared silence and stillness within our community, honoring inspiration and insights from various spiritual traditions.

Heart and Soul is co-hosting an exciting event, Dreaming at the End of Time, a two-part offering.

On 11/11/11 we will offer a deep sound and spoken word journey that is specifically created to invite a new DREAM for you and for the collective. We invoke the intentions, and the Great Mystery to open you to a new or transformative dream.

Then on the next day, 11/12/11, you will have the opportunity to share your dreams from the previous night (or past dreams, or whatever you have to offer on this theme) in a group space.

$15-20 for the evening; $50 for both days.

When:
Friday, November 11, 8 – 10 p.m. and
Saturday, November 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Let's Celebrate! 
And let's raise money too! Transition US, the nation's hub of the international Transition Towns Movement is turning THREE. 
It is my birthday too and I want to celebrate with you!
Last year's dinner was so lively and heartwarming at 'La Bodega' Kitchen in Sebastopol...
We are doing it again! 

Reception starts with local cheeses and sparkling wine from Sonoma.
Dinner includes fresh handmade pasta with local meat, organic chicken, garden grown vegetables and gourmet cheeses. Sumptuous vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available too (let me know).  Concluding with mouth-watering house-made desserts. 
Select from over a dozen California wines sourced direct from the winemakers (no-host).

Please join us for an evening of connection, as we come together to celebrate each other and the growing Transition Movement. This is a community-building and fundraising event. We guarantee you will enjoy mouth-watering food, old friends and new in a true community fashion!
