Friday afternoons at 3:30 at Coffee Catz, an informal gathering, usually outdoors, weather permitting. There has been a different assortment of folks at each one, usually 4 to 5 of us. We encourage you to try it some week. Where: Coffee Catz, 6761 Sebastopol Avenue, Sebastopol Drop in—arrival and departure times are loose. First person there asks at the counter for the “Insurgent Elders” sign to put on the chosen table area so others can find you. You might check the far back room if the weather’s cold or wet and choose some shade if it’s warm outside. It’s possible no one would show up, but it hasn’t happened yet!

Start: Oct 19 2012 6:30 pm
Transition Sebastopol and the Sebastopol Grange proudly present the film Genetic Roulette. Please join us for a potluck and a free movie Friday, October 19th at 6:30 at the Sebastopol Grange. Following the film we will have a discussion with folks from labelgmos.org and several local food sovereignty activists. Find out what is happening to our food system, and what you can do to save it! About the Movie: After two decades, physicians and scientists have uncovered a grave trend. The same serious health problems found in lab animals, livestock, and pets that have been fed GM foods are now on the rise in the US population. And when people and animals stop eating genetically modified organisms (GMOs), their health improves. Watch the trailer:
This seminal documentary provides compelling evidence to help explain the deteriorating health of Americans, especially among children, and offers a recipe for protecting ourselves and our future.
When: Where: Please come and stay for the lively and fun discussion afterward! We look forward to seeing you there!
