Kokopelli Farm in Sebastopol will host a volunteer workday this Sunday, April 19, starting at 1 p.m. We offer hands-on practice and learning about organic farming and gardening. Our main tasks will be cultivating and fertilizing boysenberries and raspberries. You can learn some basic sustainable, holistic, and permaculture practices with a small group. We may also finish some pruning of later ripening apples. Along the way we can discuss things such as agrotherapy—farms, animals, plants, and the elements as healing.
Additional workdays will happen until mid-June on some Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays. During mid-June to mid-July harvest we hire pickers for early morning work. Volunteers get first choices for this paid work.
